The following baggage policies are shown as they appear on TAM Linhas Aereas’ website. Your Vacations To Go travel counselor can answer any additional questions you may have.

Carry-on Bags

Each adult or child over two years of age is allowed one bag and one personal item on domestic (within Brazil), international or Mercosul flights. Weight should not exceed 10lbs and the sum of its dimension (height + width + length) should be maximum 45 in (115 cm). Larger bags should be checked.

Items allowed for adults and children:

· One handbag, or briefcase, or piece of equipment that can be placed under the passenger's seat, or in the aircraft's specific compartment inside the cabin

· An overcoat, mantle or blanket

· An umbrella or walking-cane (not pointed)

· Camera, laptop or binoculars

· Travel reading material

· Baby food for consumption during the flight

· Crutches or orthopedic equipment used by the passenger

· Musical instruments (provided that they can pass through the X-Ray equipment at security points)

23 kg for adults and children (ages 2 - 11).

Children up to 2 years of age can bring 1 baby umbrella stroller or 1 bunting bag or 1 infant car seat and 1 piece of luggage, complying with the dimensions for the accepted carry-on sizes and up to 5 kg.

0.5% over the Y fare for the traveled segment for each extra kilogram

Flights to Europe, North America, South Africa and Asia

Each adult or child with a reserved seat is entitled to carry two (2) pieces of luggage weighing 70 lbs (32 kg) each.

The total dimension of each piece should not exceed 115 in (292 cm).

Adults and children (from 2 to 12 years of age) are allowed 50 lbs (23 kg).

$150 for additional baggage

For flights to Latin American countries (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Venezuela)

Adults and children (from 2 to 12 years of age) are allowed 50 lbs (23 kg).

1% of the full fare of the traveled route will be charged for each baggage excess kilogram
